MegaFon IFRS net profit rockets 133.9% to 26.9 bln rbl in Jan–Jun

MOSCOW, Aug 21 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian mobile operator MegaFon jumped 133.9% on the year to 26.925 billion rubles in January–June, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said on Monday.

Revenue rose 13% to 209.890 billion rubles.

Operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) increased 24.4% to 94.154 billion rubles. The OIBDA margin added 4.1 percentage points to 44.9%.

Capital expenditures surged 99.4% to 71.016 billion rubles.

The subscriber base grew 1.3% to 75.8 million.
